The neck is one of the first areas to show age because the skin is thin, frequently exposed to the sun, and regularly stretched by movement. Collagen loss causes crepiness and surface laxity; weakening of the platysma muscle and underlying structural tissue causes the banding and vertical cord appearance associated with “turkey neck”.
HIFU addresses both components simultaneously. By delivering energy to the SMAS layer at 4.5mm depth and the dermis at shallower depths, it stimulates structural collagen from deep to surface — gradually tightening the neck over 2–3 months. Many clients describe the transformation in their neck as the most striking improvement from their HIFU session.
For surface crepiness specifically, Plasma treatments resurface and contract the skin, and can be used alone or combined with HIFU for a comprehensive result.
