Laser hair removal works by directing concentrated light energy into the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. The energy converts to heat, which damages the follicle and inhibits or prevents future hair growth. Because the laser targets melanin in the follicle rather than the surrounding skin, it is safe and precise when performed with professional-grade equipment.
Hair grows in cycles — only follicles in the active growth phase (anagen) respond fully to treatment. This is why a course of sessions (typically 6–8 for most body areas) is required to achieve maximum reduction. Maintenance sessions are occasionally needed for hormonal hair regrowth.
At Radiant Skin House, your practitioner will assess your hair colour, skin tone, and the area to be treated before recommending the appropriate protocol. We take a thorough approach to safety and suitability — patch testing is standard for all new clients.
